Pierre Le Faguays
Nantes August 29, 1892 - September 8, 1962 Paris (Ec.Fr.) - Important Sculptor. He studied under James Vibert. First Exhibition at the Salon of the Societe des Artistes Francais in 1922. Awarded an Honorable Mention in 1926. Another Honorable Mention in the Sculpture in 1927. Member and Founder, with M.Bouraine, of the "Stele and Evolution Group" where he worked in collaboration with Sibylle May, and Edouard Cazaux. He has performed numerous Monuments, and public Statuary. Very prolific and original (for the Subjects, it is inspired by the Statue of "Tanagra") has achieved his Sculptures in Bronze, Bronze and Ivory, Marble, Terracotta, Stone, Alabaster. He worked for Editors: Arthur Goldscheider, Edmond Etling, Les Neveux de J Lehmann, EM Ollier, Max Le Verrier. He has exhibited in Paris at 'Expositions des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels with two Groups of Sculptures exhibited in Hall of A. Goldscheider. Also exposes Two Sculptures in Bronze, to 'International Exhibition of Paris in 1937.
