Georges Lavroff
Enisseyske-Siberia 1895/1991 Moscow - Sculptor. He studied Painting and Sculpture at the University of Tomsk. Performs in Moscow from 1919 to 1927. From 1923 to 1926 has become a Member of Russian Artists in Moscow. In 1927 and part goes to Paris to promote the Soviet Art, and exhibited at the Salon des Independants and the Salon d'Automne in 1928. This was the beginning of the work which made Lavroff famous mostly for his Sculptures of Animals in Bronze, often with Silver patina. He also worked at the Pottery. For some time collaborated with the Parisian publisher Marcel Guillemard. Returning to Russia in 1935, and 1940 to 1980 he achieved mainly Monumental Sculptures, exposing more important in Salons. Some works are found in Museums in Moscow and Siberia.
